    To write a movie?

Hi. Im danish, but im gonna write to you guys in english cus i didnt know if you all would understand me on danish :P

Well, I got a movie in my head. I know the plot. I dont know what the lines and some stuff in the middle are gonna be, but i got a all around idea of the movie. My problem is i have no idea how to set up a movie script? So you can send it in to exsample "Nordisk Film" Or other people on this area. So if anyone know how to set up a script to movies, i would like to see it, exsample, some scripts from movies alreddy made. Ive tryed google but didnt finde any. The movies tags are around Drama/War, so if u could finde some movie scripts with those tags, it would be great. I can use other movies, but i would preffere those.

Btw. What are the different between Screenplay, and script?

     Mvh

    Christian

    Re: To write a movie?

There are somethings here i do not understand. Like here: What does Fade In Mean?
                   "FADE IN:

CREDITS: White lettering over a back background. The
THUNDEROUS SOUNDS OF A MASSIVE NAVAL BARRAGE are heard. The
power is astonishing. It roars through the body, blows back
the hair and rattles the ears."
     And
                   "FADE IN:

EXT. OMAHA BEACH - NORMANDY - DAWN

The ROAR OF NAVAL GUNS continues but now WE SEE THEM FIRING.
    Huge fifteen inch guns."

What does EXT. Mean ive seen it many times.

    and
EXT. NORMANDY - CRATER FIELD - DAY
That " - DAY" What does that mean?
    INT. STEEL MILL - DAY
INT. i see that alot, like EXT. what does this mean?

    Re: To write a movie?

    skrifttypen heter Courier New
Fade in betyr at bildene glir over i hverandre.

    Re: To write a movie?

INT betyr interior (inne), EXT betyr exterior (ute).

    Håper det hjelper litt.

    Re: To write a movie?

Helped me alot! :) sorry for the late replu btw.

Btw. i do uderstand norsk? Or svensk. So this isnt because i didnt understand the words :) But. The fade in thing. If i want to write like: Someone tells something, and there is a view over a mounten or something. Then after hes done speaking, the title comes up. Do i have to write fade in with the title or what? when is it, you use fade in?

Also, i founded this good program Celtx, its free. And i think its easy to get statet with.

Oh also. Do you know a site were i can get help, with scripts, not that this site isnt good. But i get the felling this is more of a site for books ;)I mean the people here, know more about writing books than movies. So it would be nice, if i like could get a site were i could post some of my script and they would know 100% what is wrong with it, if there is anything wrong..

If i want my movie to start with the camera filming from to sky, down at a countryside, and then ind the end films a city or something. what do i write that? in the head or what its called.. "EXT. COUNTRYSIDE - MORNING" also, do i use FADE IN: here? And agian. what does it mean if i put FADE IN: In that?

After EXT countryside... then i type: "something like, The camera moves over the countryside, and end up at the city, while Harry speaks" Or how do i write that?

    Re: To write a movie?

    Hei igjen Christian,

Jeg tror du blander inn litt for mye filmteknisk her.

    EXT. Countryside - Morning

The camera moves over the countryside, and end up at the city.

    HARRY (V.O)
    bla,bla,bla

(V.O means voice over. Which is used when the person that speaks isnt visible on the screen)
